Welcome

Welcome to Solidago Farm! We raise Icelandic sheep, plants including herbs, and dabble in heirloom vegetables and flowers. Our farm is spread over two locations in Nottingham, NH and Sedgwick, Maine. Our fulltime farm helper is Ripkin the Austrailian Shepherd. At least he thinks he is a help! We are a small farm but have been raising Icelandic sheep for 15 years. We have both farm based and AI offspring sheep. We will have several ewes available for sale this year and lambs next spring - most horned, a few polled most with AI bloodlines and from our favorite dams. Check back or contact us FMI. Contact email is ^^ solidago16 at yahoo.com ^^ Look for wool products frequently listed on the updates page. We create custom yarns, and sometimes have knit hats, scarfs, and other fiber products available. We also sell raw fleece, carded batts, roving, pelts, and washed fleece locks for the craftsperson.

  The Sheep

The sheep grazing overgrown pastures in Sedgwick, Maine. Our sheep work hard all summer clearing land and tackling weeds. In the fall they are rewarded with grazing lush pastures!

  Updates on the farm

We have a nice AI offspring (Kaldi) grey horn ram we will be using on the flock this fall- a very sweet ram lamb- so we will see how he does on some ewes. We also hope to have sucess using a few AI straws this fall. Our curent stock have the following genetics- Ormur, Rector, Flotti, and Kani. Our sheep have primarily have comes from Yeoman farm, Jager Farm, Stillwaters Farm, and Frelsi Farm.
